

For Egbert and April's wedding cake, we created this tower of 100 mini cakes with a three layer fondant cake on top. It had different shapes on each layer: hexagon-shaped on the first layer, petal-shaped on the second layer and round on the topmost layer. We then used white fondant drapes on the corners, also adding in an assortment of pink sugar flowers. All three layers were made of carrot cake. For the mini cakes, we covered it in pink boiled icing. It also had sugar flowers to adorn them. We placed them in their respective clear boxes and arranged it in the cake stand below the fondant cake. Meanwhile, we created fourteen replicas of the fondant cake which were intended for their primary sponsors. We did not include it in the cake set-up anymore, but instead were distributed among the sponsors' tables.
