The Chedz DIY Dream Cake KIT! (Makes 3 Cakes)

DREAM CAKE KIT CONTAINS:

  • Boxed All -purpose Cream

Recipe:


Chocolate Cake base
Ingredients:
MIX A:
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt

  
MIX B:
2 cups granulated white sugar

2 large eggs
1 cup milk 
1/2 cup butter melted 
1 tbsp vanilla extract 
2 tbsp hot coffee 
Procedure:
1.    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease three 6-inch tin cans and set aside.
2.    In the large bowl of a standing mixer, stir MIX A and B. Make a well. Add eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Remove bowl from mixer and stir in hot coffee with a rubber spatula. Batter will be very runny.
3.    Pour batter evenly between the pans and bake on middle rack of oven for about 30-35 minutes, or  until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean with just a few moist crumbs attached. Let cool and set aside until ready to assemble. 

Ganache
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
1 box all purpose cream

Procedure:
Heat the all purpose cream until bubbly (you may use a regular pan or microwave). Pour over chopped chocolate. Mix well until all the chocolate has melted and blended with the cream. Let cool and set aside.

ASSEMBLING THE DREAM CAKE

Pour the cooled ganache over the chocolate cake base. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes. Pipe the cakes with ready made whip cream. Lastly, sift cocoa powder over the cakes. Refrigerate them for a few hours (overnight if possible) until ready to serve. Enjoy!
