About CHEDZ

CHEDZ was established in CEBU more than 3 decades ago and has been a part of countless celebrations and special occasions -from birthdays and anniversaries to weddings and debuts.  Fans of CHEDZ  know that underneath all the wondrous icing is a freshly baked and delicious cake that is the hallmark of Chedz Cakes' artisanal origins. Basta CHEDZ  "lami jud!"

Designer Cakes by Chedz is a product of love, and it all started with the love for baking. When she was still young, Chedette loved baking, something she learned from her grandmother Lola Pureza Kintanar and from her mother Neny Gonzales.
Chedette started the business after she graduated from the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a Hotel and Restaurant Management degree in 1973. It was mainly a baking business offering personalized cakes for customers. The cakes were made at the home of Chedette in Greenhills, Mandaue City and later transferred to Parian in 1979 after she got married. Her home in Parian served as her bakeshop for many years.
The bakeshop started off as a one-woman operation and it eventually grew into a shop with more than a dozen employees.  Chedette was the driving force behind the early years of CHEDZ and as the business prospered she became widely known for sharing the joy of baking and cake decorating through the many lectures and lessons she shared with her fellow Cebuanos.  Chedette is now based in the US and regularly returns to Cebu to reconnect with family and friends.

Ms. Cecille Anne Corazo

Currently the head designer of CHEDZ CAKES is Chedette's younger daughter Cecille Anne who took over operations in 2007.  Though she never expected to be following in her mother's footsteps Cecille found out that she in fact had the same knack for running the business and has now become equally known not only for the personalized service she provides but also for her generosity in sharing all that she has learned from her mother.  Posting her lessons online has allowed Cecille to reach a bigger audience.
Aside from their shared love of designing and teaching, Chedette and Cecille also share a love of travel.
